About the Boat

Pride

At Anchor

A classic lobsterboat converted to coastal cruising, F/V Sea Keeper is ideally suited for exploring the nooks and crannies of the Maine coast or visiting off-shore fishing grounds.

Its solid fiberglass hull makes the vessel exceptionally stout and seaworthy – a comfortable ride in any sea condition. It boasts a spacious enclosed salon, a full galley with refrigeration, 110 volt power, and sweeping visibility. With two single bunks and a double berth in the fo’castle, and an ample lavatory/shower room, Sea Keeper will comfortably accommodate up to four passengers on over-night or multi-day adventures, or up to six passengers on a day-trip.

But make no mistake, this is not a yacht. Sea Keeper is a working boat which is clean and functional, designed to bring you the Gulf of Maine up close, to make this environment meaningful and exciting. The vessel’s electronic navigation system and sonar sounder are typical of the sophistication found on a modern commercial fishing vessel and our clients are encouraged to become familiar with our nautical charts. We have an on-board library of the history and features of the New England coast and the wildlife that live here.

Sea Keeper is fully equipped for safety and clients will be asked to acquaint themselves with safety procedures. Passengers are assumed to be reasonably physically fit and nimble; otherwise, please let us know so that we can accommodate your needs. The captain, John Williamson, is a US Coast Guard licensed Master of Vessels on Near-Coastal Waters.
